The Museum of Friendship, Remembrance and Loss
I met Tim Andrews in January 2013 through Brighton and Sussex Medical School where at different times we had presented our work as part of the Ethics in Performance series.
Our collaborative project ‘Take Me With You’ began with this question – If each of us could choose twenty-one things to take with us to the next world (whatever that might mean) what would those twenty-one things be? Over a period of nearly three years, Tim and I corresponded about our choices and the reasons for them – a dialogue about memory and mortality that led us into friendship.
The Museum of Friendship, Remembrance and Loss – displaying some of the things that we chose – was set up for one night for an event at BSMS hosted by Bobbie Farsides on 18 February 2016. Tim has made a film about the project which you can see here:
